The Pagan Caucus: Moving Towards a More Connected Community
The Pagan Caucus:
Moving Towards a More Connected Community
The month of September saw the gathering of Pagan leaders
from among the online Pagan community for the purpose of establishing a
discussion and interactive forum. The
Caucus was hosted by Representative Alf Kjetil Aas of the Neo Mystic
Renaissance who facilitated discussions and served to create an opportunity for
the Representatives of other groups to get to know one another. The concept of the Pagan Caucus was in
response to a growing belief that the community would be better served by
leadership developing more interactive relations.
Like all beginnings, the stated goals for the Pagan Caucus
which included the idea of several wide-ranging discussion forums and planning
sessions was not fully realized, however, the underlying intent and overarching
purpose were achieved. It was
determined that the Pagan Caucus would become an ongoing event with a rotating
moderator or host. Angel Greer- Founder
and primary Administrator for Pagans of the Path, Rise of the Phoenix was
selected as the next host for the Caucus, tentatively scheduled for the first
of the year.
There is a hope that the Caucus will expand as more leaders
are invited to participate and the process of shared resources and coordinated
community interactions are realized. The
Pagan Caucus is an encouraging step towards a more connected community.
