Letter from the Editor - The Dark Months - Issue Two

Dear Reader,

As the days get shorter, the winds get stronger, and the chill starts to penetrate your bones, you find yourself once again in The Dark Months. Visions of monsters lurk in the darkness just beyond your line of sight, ghosts whisper faintly as the wind whips past you, a chorus of crumbling leaves in its wake. Things feel just a touch more arcane.

We are wired to fear the dark, and the lurking monsters within, but that doesn’t mean we can’t try to understand it and explore the more occult facets of this time of year. I wanted us to take a look at the face of the darkness and see who blinks first. Our writers did not disappoint in covering a range of topics that are both interesting, intense, and will leave you wondering what you are capable of.

I hope these essays and articles inspire and delight you. I hope they spur you to try something new. I hope they inspire you to face the darkness and make it blink. Surely a few of these articles will guide you in the right direction to do such a thing. The whole world has gone crazy so why not try something a little crazy to keep things interesting?

Should you have any questions, comments, or just want to scream into the void you can feel free to do so at Aetheroccultmedia@gmail.com. The void might respond. Regardless.

Welcome to The Dark Months, and our second issue, where we will explore fear, the darkness, and maybe a couple of good soup recipes to warm those chilled bones.

Stay spooky~

P.S. This month I've curated a playlist of music to guide you through the ups and downs of the issue, you can access that here: Aether Issue Two Playlist, we hope you enjoy it.
